  • How can I obtain a copy of the ICF if I forget to fill it out before boarding?

    You must complete the ICF before boarding your flight. If you forget, you can fill it out on the ICF website (www.icf.sr) or before going to the Check-In Desk, prior to departure.

  • Can I fill out the ICF online or on paper?

    The ICF can be completed online.

  • What should I do if I need extra assistance in filling out the form?

    Airlines often have staff available at the airport to assist passengers in completing ICF digitally. Do not hesitate to ask for help.

  • Can I use a copy or photograph of my passport instead of the original when completing the ICF?

    No, a recent live selfie is required.

  • Can I use an e-passport for entry and exit procedures?

    Many countries accept e-passports for entry and exit. Ensure that your e-passport is valid and follow the guidelines provided by destination authorities.

  • Are there specific rules for transporting pets internationally?

    Yes, transporting pets across borders involves specific regulations. Check with the airline and destination country’s authorities for guidelines on bringing pets.

  • What should I do if I am carrying items for someone else on my flight?

    Declare any items you are carrying for someone else on your customs form. Ensure you have necessary documentation, and be aware of any restrictions on transporting goods for others. Please note that you are fully responsible for any goods/items you declare.

  • How do I report lost or delayed baggage containing declared items?

    Report lost or delayed baggage immediately to airline staff. Provide a detailed description of the contents, especially if you declared items on your customs form.

  • Are there specific guidelines for carrying prescription medications across borders?

    Yes, some countries have strict regulations regarding the importation of medications. Check the customs guidelines for your destination and carry prescriptions and necessary documentation.

  • If I don’t have a yellow fever vaccination, can I still enter Suriname?

    Yes, as long as you are not arriving from a yellow fever-affected area. Travelers from countries without yellow fever are not required to have this vaccination.

  • Do I need a yellow fever vaccine card to enter Suriname?

  • Why is my photo (selfie) required?

    Your photo is used for identity verification and security purposes, similar to the process at other airports.

    By submitting your photo in advance through ICF, we can verify your identity before arrival, which speeds up the immigration process and reduces wait times.

  • How do I submit my photo (selfie)?

    For Mobile Devices:

    Step 1. Tap on the “Upload Photo”.
    Step 2. You may be prompted to:

    Take a Photo: Use your camera to take a new photo.
    Choose from Gallery: Select this to pick an existing photo from your gallery. (recent selfie)
    Step 3. After choosing or taking a photo, confirm it by tapping “Done” or “Confirm”.
    Step 4. Your photo has been successfully uploaded.

    For Desktops / Laptops / Computers :

    Step 1. Click on the “Upload Photo”.
    Step 2. A file explorer window will open. Locate and select your photo from the correct folder (recent selfie).
    Step 3. Click “Open” to upload, which will upload your photo automatically.

    Note: Some mobile devices may open the gallery directly. In that case, you may need to take a picture using your camera first to be able to upload the desired photo. (recent selfie)

  • Can I use a Snapchat filter or any other filters on my photo?

    No, the photo must be a recent, clear and unedited image without any filters or alterations. Filtered or edited images will not be accepted, as they may affect the accuracy of identity verification.

  • Can I make changes to the ICF after submitting it?

    No, once the ICF is submitted, changes cannot be made. Please verify all information before submitting the form to ensure accuracy.

  • What information is typically requested on the ICF?

    The ICF typically asks for personal details such as your name, passport information, purpose of travel, stay details, and any goods you are declaring. Be sure to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Do I need to include yellow fever vaccination information when filling out my ICF for travel to Suriname?

    You only need to provide yellow fever vaccination information in your ICF if you are arriving from, or transiting through, a country where yellow fever is present. Travelers from non-affected countries, such as the Netherlands, are not required to provide this information, although vaccination is recommended as a precaution.

  • What happens if I don't have my ICF upon arrival at my destination?

    Failure to present the completed ICF upon arrival may cause delays at immigration and customs, and you could be subjected to additional screening.

  • Can I use the same ICF for multiple trips?

    No, a new ICF form is typically required for each international trip. The information is only valid for a limited time, so make sure to complete a new form for each journey.

  • What should I do if I lose my QR Code ?

    If you lose your QR code, check your email for the reference number, which is identical to the QR code. You can present the reference number upon arrival.

  • Should I keep the ICF QR after my trip?

    You don’t need to keep the ICF QR code after your trip, as it expires once the journey is complete.

  • Are these forms required for every international flight?

    Yes, ICF is required for nearly all international flights, even for layovers where passengers may not leave the airport.

  • What happens if I fail to fill out or forget the form?

    Not filling out ICF may result in delays during immigration and customs procedures at your destination. It is essential to complete the form accurately and completely to avoid any issues. Passengers can still fill in ICF at the Check In Desk on their mobile phones.

  • What happens if I don't fill in the ICF?

    ICF is mandatory. If you don’t fill in the form, you will not be able to board the flight

  • I don't have Wifi What now?

    We would advise you to prevent any upholding or problems with boarding the aircraft that you fill in the form three days prior to departure from the cosey environment of your house or hotel.

  • I don't have an email what now?

    You can easy create a new email account for free at gmail or hotmail. Or you can ask the person that purchased your ticket for assistance

  • When should I fill out the ICF?

    Complete the form at www.icf.sr ideally 3 days before your international flight, or anytime prior to boarding.

  • "I have a certain medical issue, am I allowed to travel with my medicines?"

    Yes, it is recommended to keep your medicines in your hand luggage

  • Are there specific rules for declaring certain goods on the customs form?
